Weldon Germaine Bond has been inspiring beauty for over 15 years. Beginning in his mother’s beauty salon, Weldon soon developed a passion for beauty which would inevitably shape his professional career as a photographer and publisher.
At the start of his career in Philadelphia, Weldon began as a celebrity photographer for musicians and artist such as comedian Dee Lee, radio personalities and legendary DJ Jazzy Jeff. His photo’s were also featured in Philadelphia Tribune, Solid Gold Magazine, & Black Sophisticates Magazine. Weldon was soon inspired to enter the publishing industry with his first magazine Black Beauty Hair & Nail Magazine. From that publication grew a volume of International magazines including Black Beauty Braids, Platinum Braids and Streaks. Upon returning to his native Richmond, VA, Weldon's passion for beauty and photography took on new meaning as the Founder and President of The Black Beauty Expo, The Virginia Beauty Show, and The Black Beauty Association.
Weldon's career continues to expand through his study of Theological aesthetics: which is the interdisciplinary study of theology and aesthetics, and has been defined as being "concerned with questions about God and issues in theology in the light of and perceived through sense knowledge (sensation, feeling, imagination), through beauty, and the arts".
From publishing to production, photography to design, Weldon continues to expand his range of creative disciplines with an unwavering goal of 'INSPIRING OTHERS THROUGH HIS WORK'.
